Starting Rate: At launch, the exchange rate is set such that 1 ESHARE = 5 Plazm. This is the baseline cost to create Plazm on Day 1 (using ESHARES). The rate will slowly worsen over time (meaning you’ll get slightly fewer Plazm for the same amount of ESHARES as days go on).
Daily Reduction: The number of Plazm tokens that can be created for a given input decreases by ~0.08% (within rounding), per day. This means each day it becomes a tiny bit more difficult (expensive) to create the same amount of Plazm as compared to the previous day.
Creation Formula: The exact formula for how many Plazm tokens you get when creating takes into account the current base rate, your chosen Power, and the length (days) of the creation. In simple terms, the output scales with the length of time (longer minting periods yield more total tokens, up to 77 days max) and with the Power selected, relative to a baseline of 100 Power.
Example: On Day 1, choosing 10,000 Power for 1 day would create approximately 12.987 Plazm. If you instead chose 10,000 Power for the full 77 days, it would create exactly 1,000 Plazm. (This example illustrates that longer durations greatly increase the total tokens created; 77 days yielded 1,000 Plazm versus only ~12.987 for 1 day, given the same Power.)
